MARGAO: Two unidentified men have been accused of assaulting a Mumbai resident with a baseball bat and abusing the complainant and his friends in filthy language on September 9 near Zalor Beach, Carmona.
According to Colva PI Filomena Costa, Nikhil Gupte, 25, a resident of Dombivli East, Kalyan, Thane, has lodged a complaint alleging that an unknown driver and the occupant of a car abused him and five of
his friends in filthy language, on Zalor Beach road in Salcete.
The men also allegedly assaulted the complainant’s friend Jolly Negi with a baseball
bat, causing injuries to his forehead over a
petty issue. Police said that the panchanama was conducted and ASI Chittaranjan Soiroji is investigating the case.
