MARGAO: Cuncolim municipal chairperson Devendra Desai on Sunday said the municipality has till date not made any payments to the contractor who had supplied the electrical lamps.
While declining to go into the FIR lodged by the director of municipal administration (DMA) , Elvis Gomes with the crime branch on the matter, Desai said ‘The civic body has not made any payments till date. The tendered amount of Rs 22 lakhs has still not been cleared by the civic body”, he said, adding that he has already given his statement before the Anti-Corruption Bureau ACB.
