MAPUSA: The additional district and session court, Mapusa has remanded Santosh Chattar, the accused in Rakesh Rai murder case to 14-day judicial custody.
Calangute police have also recorded statements of the six eye-witnesses, who were present when Santosh Chattar stabbed Rakesh Rai on Thursday night.
The accused had surrendered himself to the Calangute police after the incident and had called up the control room to inform about the stabbing incident.
The accused had stabbed the victim on his chest and stomach with a knife, following a fight under influence of alcohol.
