PONDA: Additional Session Judge Bela Naik rejected the bail application of Shiroda panch Suhas Naik, who has been arrested in connection with the murder of Rajendra Naik from Shiroda. The accused has been in judicial custody since his arrest.
Arguments were heard on Suhas’ bail application. Opposing the bail of accused, Public Prosecutor Satyawan Desai said he is an influential person and could pressurize witnesses. Following argument, the Court rejected his bail application.
It may be recalled that Police had already filed a chargesheet in the court wherein Suhas and his nephew Nilay Naik were arrested for hatching a criminal conspiracy to murder Rajendra over sluice gate ownership dispute.
