MARGAO: The Colva police have registered an offence of murder, under section 302 IPC, against Claudia Baptista of Grande Pedda, Benaulim.
The complaint in this regard has been filed by Valencio Dias of Varca. Dias in the complaint has stated that on March 14, the accused Claudia assaulted his mother Mara Rodrigues by hitting the deceased on the head with a stone, that led to head injuries. Rodrigues who was rushed to Hospicio Hospital, Margao was then moved to the GMC, Bambolim, were she expired on March 17 while undergoing treatment.
No arrest has yet been made in the case.
