PANJIM: In a new twist to the Fr Bismarque Dias death case, a 12-minute video reported to be posted online shows the late activist naming a few people who would be responsible if something happens to him.
The video, which was reportedly recorded four months prior to Fr Bismarque’s death, was uploaded on social media and the same has been submitted to the Crime Branch.
Sudip Dalvi, who is one of the petitioners in the High Court seeking justice for late Fr Bismarque, has posted the video on Facebook.
The video footage shows Fr Bismarque saying he was receiving threats and on two occasions, attempts were made to eliminate him.
However, the Crime Branch, which investigated the case and subsequently closed it, has stated that based on video recording they have investigated the entire murder theory.
“We have called all the people named in the video recording, interrogated, cross examined, etc. All angles have been probed by us to establish it as a murder, but there was no link between the reality and the video footage,” Superintendent of Police (Crime) Karthik Kashyap said.
However, the HC will hear the matter on Wednesday as Crime Branch has been told by the court to submit its investigation report.
