Muthalik banned from entering State for another 60 days

PANJIM: Sri Ram Sene leader Pramod Muthalik and his associates have been banned from entering elections-bound Goa for another 60 days beginning September 6 as authorities fear “his communal speeches will promote enmity among various religious communities and will be prejudicial to maintenance of harmony, public peace and safety”.

A notification of the order issued by South District Administration is based on a report by South Goa Police apprehending unrest.

“It has been reported by the Superintendent of Police, South Goa District, Margao dated August 27, 2021 stating that fear of disturbance of the communal peace and harmony in the State of Goa is not ruled out in case of entry of Pramod Mutalik, leader of “Sri Ram Sene” and his member associates in the South Goa District. It is apprehended that his communal speeches will promote enmity among various religious communities and will be prejudicial to maintenance of harmony, public peace and safety,” the notification states.
