PANJIM: A 77-year-old businessman, N S Dhillon from Punjab was found dead in a rented villa in Marra, Pilerne under suspicious circumstances on Sunday.
Speaking to reporters, North Goa Superintendent of Police (SP) Nidhin Valson said, “The man was found dead by his staff in the morning. Prima facie it appears that there are injuries on his body. The jewellery is missing. We are registering an FIR under relevant sections of IPC.”
“We suspect somebody and we are conducting an investigation to find out whether they have committed the offence or not. We are registering a case of murder and robbery. We have almost zeroed down on the accused. The victim was in the hospitality business and was residing in Goa since 2016 and was frequented by guest,” the SP said.
