PANJIM: North Goa district has been randomly identified for the National Blindness Survey in Goa being conducted by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in 30 districts in country for which Dr RP Centre has been appointed as the nodal agency.
The survey will be conducted from April 29 to May 10, 2018, and around 3000 people aged 50 years and above in randomly selected 50 clusters (urban and rural) will be covered.
In each cluster 60 people will be interviewed and examined through house visits.
The survey will be conducted in partnership with Goa Medical College and Directorate of Health Services.
A team from RP Centre consisting of 20 members and from Goa Medical College consisting of four members will conduct the survey. People are requested to co-operate with the survey team.
