PANJIM: For the benefit of thousands of women working in the industrial sectors of Goa, Industries Minister Mahadev Naik Wednesday said that he would ascertain the need to start special buses in the industrial estates.
He maintained that the women, working in the industrial estates are being paid hardly Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,000 per month. “These women come from far off areas and more than half of their salary is spent on paying bus fares,” the minister said, adding ‘a special bus with pass system needs to be introduced for such passengers’.
