PERNEM: BJP on Wednesday declared names of ten candidates who will contest Pernem municipal elections.
The ten candidates include Prakash Kambli for Ward No. 1, Vishwanath Tirodkar for Ward No.2, Rakhi Navso Kashalkar for Ward No.3, Usha Nagvekar for Ward No.4, Neha Asolkar for Ward No.5, Trupti Anand Sawal Desai for Ward No.6, Dr. Vasudev Deshprabhu for Ward No.7, Madhav Shivaji Sinai Desai for Ward No.8, Siddhesh Pednekar for Ward No.9 and Vishnu Salgaonkar for Ward No.10.
Dy Chief Minister Manohar (Babu) Ajgaonkar, in a press meet said, “Panel of ten candidates is floated to contest municipal election at Pernem. These ten candidates will give clean administration”.
“Pernem municipality is totally dependent on the government and in order to get full support and help of the government, all the ten BJP candidates get elected as councillors is important. To make Pernem municipality number one in the State, capable candidates are chosen to contest this municipal elections in Pernem. New administrative building and all the other development in Pernem will speed up, if all elected councillors belong to the BJP Panel”, Ajgaonkar said.
This year’s BJP panel also includes names of two former chairpersons of Pernem municipal council.
