PANJIM: In all 22 people have applied for the post of State Election Commissioner and Chief Election Commissioner, even as the meeting of the high-powered committee is to be held on July 29.
The names shortlisted: For Chief Information Commissioner ~ Leena Mehendale, IAS (Retired), Stanley Coutinho and Naguesh Colvalkar.
For State Information Commissioner ~ Stanley Coutinho, IDFS (Retired)
Nagesh Sadanad Colvalkar, Prabhakar M Timble, Jose Agnelo Francisco Filomena Gomes Menenzes, Dhananjay A Jog and Sandesh Prabhudessai.
RTI activist had campaigned for appointment of SIC and CIC by sitting on a hunger strike. He called off the strike after the Chief Minister persuaded him to do so.
