NaMo factor echoes at Guv’s reception

PANJIM: The NaMo factor echoed during the Independence Day reception hosted by the Governor Om Prakash Kohli at Raj Bhavan on Friday. The newly appointed Governor urged Goans to follow Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ (together with all, development for all) for a better India.

In his speech in Hindi, Kohli said the vision will bring in all-round development in the State and across the country.
After the National Anthem, he began the address with an apology for arriving late. “I am afraid that I arrived late. The reason is that there was a delay at Gandhinagar (Gujarat) because the flight (in which he flew to Goa) suffered technical snag… but it is out of our control…” he explained as Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar stood next to him.
Speaker Rajendra Arlekar, Deputy CM Francis D’Souza, Panchayat Minister Laximikant Parsekar, Opposition leader Pratapsing Rane, MLAs Vishnu Wagh, Pramod Sawant, Glen Ticlo, Rohan Khaunte, Chief Secretary B Vijayan, DGP T N Mohan, Station Commander Brigadier Harvijay Singh, secretaries to government, senior civil service officers, freedom fighters, officers from defence forces, representatives from industries and others attended.
