PANJIM: Representatives of 250 educational institutes from across the country will participate in the second edition of the National Education Summit, at Dona Paula on Saturday.
The day-long summit will deal with sensitive subjects such as Education for tomorrow, Learn in India-Learn for the world, Investment in school and higher education sector in Goa; Digital India for smarter nation, Education in India: ancient and modern; The role of spirituality and spiritual practices in education; Empowering girls and women through education, national and international best practices of education, and Agriculture education program: youth and young scientists for agriculture.
“We need to further elevate the standard of education in the country so that more and more foreign students look towards India to pursue their studies,” the organizing association – ‘College To Campus’ CEO and MD Satya Prakash Singh told a press briefing on Friday.
The summit is expected to see the presence of Goa Governor Dr Mridula Sinha, Member of Parliament from Bhadohi (Uttar Pradesh) Virendra Singh Mast; Member Parliament from Jahanabad (Bihar) Dr Arun Kumar; Director General of Goa Police Muktesh Chander, Goa State Election Commissioner R K Srivastava, Collector North Goa Nila Mohanan, Vice Chancellor of Goa University Dr Varun Sahni, Joint Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalay Sangathan Dr V Vijayalakshmi, and ex-president Student Union of Patna University Anil Kumar besides other educationists.
“The summit will be divided into five brainstorming sessions with educational experts. At the end of the conference, around 30 awards will be presented to various universities, colleges, institutions and individuals for their extraordinary contribution in the field of education,” organising secretary and media coordinator Gaurav Tiwari said.
