All India Trade  Union Congress (AITUC)  in co-ordination  with  various  trade  unions  has  announced  all India  strike on September 7 to reiterate  its  demands pertaining  to  price hike.
Addressing a  press conference on Friday here,  the Convener of  Co-ordination Committee of Goa Government Employees Association (CO-CO-GGOE-AUITC) Suhaas Naik, said irrespective   of their  ideologies  all  trade  unions  in the country  will  participate in the nationwide   strike on  September 7.
In  Goa,  all  government  employees   associations   are  with AIUTC  supporting its demands  such  as  roll back  hike effected in oil prices,  control  prices of essential commodities, strengthen  PDS,  stop   violation of  labour  laws,  no sale  of  profit  making  public sector  units. They have also planned a huge rally in the city on September 7 which will begin at KTC bus stand and culminate at Azad Maidan, said Naik.
Their State-specific demand  include  upgradation of  pay scale for  all left out categories,  payment of  field allowance to field  staff,   payment of  shift  allowance to  all  staff  working  in shifts  in various  government departments and also regularization of services of all contract employees in the government service.
