BICHOLIM: Namrata Nanda Gawas has been unanimously elected as the sarpanch of Navelim panchayat in Bicholim taluka on Saturday.
The post had fallen vacant after Mayuri Mahadev Gawas tendered her resignation. Namrata was elected unopposed by the presiding officer Jaiprakash Salgaonkar as there was only one nomination.
