PANJIM: Navelim Tenants Association on Friday alleged that Tiswadi Mamlatdar is not considering the updated list of members of Navelim Tenants Association, submitted to them through proper channel for formation of committee.
The committee holds the responsibility of construction of bund, sluice gate operation and auction.
According to Prasad Harmalkar, former sarpanch of Golti-Navelim Village Panchayat, formation of said committee, whose election was held on Friday was unlawful and conducted in a fraudulent manner.
Addressing the media persons, Prasad said that “The former committee had submitted the updated list of 13 members which was left untouched.”
He said, “Talathi of Tiswadi Taluka updated the list as per his convenience and not as per the updated list forwarded to the Mamlatdar”.
Stating further Prasad informed that the Administrator is claiming of not receiving any copy of list forwarded by the Navelim Tenants Association.
At a press conference held last week, members of Navelim Tenants Association had claimed the nature of Awal Karkun of Tiswadi to be evasive.
