Navy’s Western Command Warships Illuminate Tarkarli Sea in Spectacular Navy Day Celebration

A squadron of warships from the Navy’s Western Command made an impressive entrance into the Tarkarli Sea on Wednesday as part of the Navy Day celebrations scheduled at the Sindhudurg Fort on December 4. In the evening, the naval fleet’s warships gracefully sailed through the Tarkarli Sea, captivating citizens and tourists from across the district. The skies were adorned with the presence of aircraft and helicopters, including Tejas, MiG, Dornier, Chetak, and more.

The spectacle commenced with a breathtaking display as the Navy’s Marine Commando team descended through parachutes at the designated point, proudly hoisting the Indian tricolor and the navy flag. Following this captivating entrance, aircraft such as Tejas, Dornier, and MiG 29K showcased their aerial prowess. The audience, ranging from attendees to spectators, fervently echoed patriotic slogans like ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai.’

Demonstrating their combat skills, Marine commandos efficiently destroyed enemy posts in the sea using precision bombs. Upon completing their mission, the commandos were airlifted to a secure retreat base via a naval helicopter. Fighter jets took flight from the sea to the sky, originating from the aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya in the deep sea at Devbagh. After their exercise, these aircraft gracefully returned to the carrier ‘Vikramaditya.’
