MARGAO: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has assured the promoters and lovers of dhirio in the State of raising the issue in Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and Goa Legislative Assembly in favour of the traditional bullfighting sport in Goa.
NCP Goa Observer Narendra Varma was handed a memorandum of requests by the promoters and lovers of dhirio addressed to the NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Praful Patel requesting to raise the issue at Centre in favour of dhirio.
Benaulim NCP MLA Churchill Alemao, NCP general secretary Nelly Rodrigues and others were present at the meeting.
He said that when Churchill Alemao will raise the issue of dhirio in the Goa Legislative Assembly, same time Sharad Pawar and Praful Patel will raise the issue in Rajya Sabha and Supriya Sule in Lok Sabha.
