PANJIM: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) State President Jose Philip D’Souza stated that vaccination is the only solution to bring the COVID-19 infection surge under control in the State.
“The two doses of vaccine required for immunisation can be administered within six to eight weeks and the entire eligible population of Goa could have been administered the vaccination within two months maximum,” he said.
According to D’Souza, it is over three and half months since the vaccination has started in the State and the vaccination drive that the government is conducting is at snail’s pace. “This current surge in the COVID-19 infection and mortality rate could have been prevented if the government had responsibly vaccinated the entire eligible population,” he added.
