MARGAO: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has blamed the Congress for the failure of alliance talks.
Addressing the press after launching the manifesto of Sanguem candidate Rakhi Naik, on Friday, NCP leader Avinash Bhosale said, “Congress is responsible for the falling out of the alliance talks, whose outcome will be division of votes of secular forces. But we are confident that people will vote judiciously.”
Rakhi is an interesting candidate vis-à-vis her political moves. A fortnight ago, she was an aspirant for NCP ticket. However, when she sensed that an alliance was shaping up between the Congress and NCP, she joined the Goa Vickas Party. But when the alliance did not materialise, she returned to NCP which has fielded her from Sanguem.
