However, by legalising cultivation of cannabis in the State, the BJP government wants to finish life of Goan people especially the youth. The government wants to legalise cultivation of cannabis to protect the drug mafias “.

“Goa has seen many govts and chief ministers in the past and none of them bothered about this issue but only the BJP govt wants legalise cultivation of cannabis and matka because it wants to benefit. If government wants cannabis for medicinal purpose, then they should import it as per the requirement and should not paralyse the Goan people”, Barde said.

“The drug mafia wants to grow cannabis in Goa due to which it wants to legalise the cultivation. If govt wants to legalise cannabis and matka in the State then it can also legalise prostitution. We don’t know what kind of hub the government is trying to make since people especially working in coastal belt will get addicted to it and finish their lives”, Barde cautioned.
