NCP leader denies allegation he had stopped Navy to hoist flag

VASCO: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Goa president Jose Philip D’ Souza on Thursday claimed that he did not stopped Navy from hoisting flag on Sao Jacinto island but questioned the sudden digging work, which Navy started for the new flag post when there existed a flag post on the island.

Dsouza said that we questioned the Navy for their digging work on the island since recently there was an issue of Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP) where the houses and other important things were not shown on the CZMP.

He also condemned the action of few individuals terming him anti-national and claimed that he being a native of the Sao Jacinto island  and stood for the people.
