VASCO: Nationalist Congress Party Goa President Jose Philip D’Souza demandedthat the government immediately take up the long pending project of having a fire station in Vasco.
During a press conference in Vasco on Wednesday,close to the where the old Vasco Fire station existed, NCP leader D’Souza told reporters that since the old fire station building was demolished few years back after it was declared dangerous, the construction of a new Fire station building is yet to see the daylight.
“Project related estimates were prepared and cancelled multiple times and everytime a new proposal was made, estimates would change on a higher side. Initially it began at Rs 3 crores and now it has sky rocketed to Rs15 crores,” he said.
