Pernem: A 34-year-old man was arrested for sexually assaulting five years old female twins, who were his neighbours.
Pernem police on Monday arrested Balkrushna Mapari, driver by profession and resident of Hankhane-Pernem for sexually assaulting the twins. The incident was reported by the mother when the two daughters complained of pain in private parts of the body. According to the mother, the incident took place fifteen days back.
Mapari is booked under section 376 IPC 4, among related offences and under the Goa children’s Act. The accused person and the two victims are sent to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim for medical examination. PSI Albito Rodrigues is further investigating the case.
