VASCO: A 25-year-old woman from Nepal was arrested on Monday for committing theft at her employer’s petrol pump located in Chicalim, Vasco.
According to Vasco police, a complaint was lodged by Neena Karl Vaz resident of Baina, Vasco, that on Sunday, some unknown accused person effected entry into her office at Chicalim by breaking window glass and committed theft of cash of Rs 14.19 lakh from the office locker. Police learnt this on investigation and arrested one Pabitra Kumari, resident of Chicalim and native of Nepal.
The accused was working as helper in same office and committed the crime on Sunday night. We have recovered Rs 13.43 lakh from her possession and has been arrested under section 454, 457, 380 of IPC, said Vasco SDPO DySP Sunita Sawant.
Further investigation is in on.
