PANJIM: Industrialist Dinar Tarcar who has jumped into the fray for second time to contest assembly election is worth around 2.11 billion as per his affidavit filed before the returning officer in Panjim.
Tarcar who is contesting on MGP ticket from St Cruz constituency filed his nomination on Thursday. His affidavit says his investment in banks is Rs 1.02 crore of which his wife’s share is Rs 50.99 lakh. There are also bank deposits in the name of his two children, Crishnadev Rs 3.76 lakh and Gayatridevi Rs 1.77 lakh.
His total investment in shares in various industries that include Landscape Construction Pvt Ltd, Landscape Infrastructure and Realty Pvt Ltd, Landscape Service and Maintenance Pvt Ltd is Rs 2.09 billion of which fifty per cent is owned by his wife.
He has also investments in seven insurance policies of Rs 13 lakh including policies taken in the name of his wife and two children.
Tarcar owns a Tata Safari EX and 2 two-wheelers.
He and his wife own gold jewellery worth Rs 26.63 lakh.
Whereas his capital in Landscape Developers is Rs 41 lakh and his investments in immovable property (agriculture land) is worth Rs 1.43 lakh and commercial buildings are Rs 17.92 lakh.
Total income shown in income tax return against his name is Rs 50.70 lakh and that of his wife is Rs 50.70 lakh. There were some technical mistakes pointed out in his affidavit and the same have been asked to be corrected.
