SANGUEM: Assistant Engineer PWD (Roads and Bridges) Sanguem Vinayak Mashelkar has urged the locals of Netravali to bear with the ongoing work of laying underground cables for 11 KV power line passing through the village.
It is pertinent to note here that due to the digging of trenches in most wards of the village, the locals are facing extreme hardship in using the narrow roads. Most roads in the village are six metres wide and the digging of the trenches has left the village with only a small portion of the road which is just sufficient for one vehicle to pass at a time.
It’s been almost 15 days since the work of digging of trenches commenced and no efforts are made by the contractor to fill up the same, the villagers claimed and complained to the Assistant Engineer Mashelkar of the problems they face due to the ongoing work.
During Mashelkar’s visit to the village, it was found that the contractor has failed to fill up the trench even at places where the work has been completed for want of quality sand for laying concrete and the supply of sand was expected soon.
Mashelkar urged the villagers to bear with the ongoing work for the next few days as the contractor has assured to fill the trenches soon.
