PANJIM: The District Magistrate and District Disaster Management Authority, North Goa in exercise of powers under ‘The Goa Epidemic Disease, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020’, have notified the entire premises of Sports Authority of India Training Centre, SAI Girls Hostel, Peddem, Mapusa; and the entire premises of Keshav Seva Sadhana, Sarvan, Bicholim as COVID-19 Care centres.
These will house asymptomatic COVID-19 positive patients.
Earlier this month, the Government notified the entire premises of Primary Health Centre, Cansaulim as a dedicated Covid-19 Hospital. As such, all the staff attached to the Primary Health Centre, Cansaulim were asked to move to the new building to operate the above Covid Hospital. “Only Casualty services will be operated on the ground floor and Covid-19 Hospital on the top two floors,” said the government.
The government also recently notified 150-bedded North Goa District Hospital (NGDH), Mapusa, as a dedicated Covid Hospital. The Medical Superintendent cum NGDH Deputy Director will be the in charge of the same.
