BICHOLIM: The construction work of Bicholim Fire Station proposed near the industrial estate has stopped since last several months with no hope of its completion.
It is pertinent to note that the Bicholim Fire Station is presently operational from near the old bus stand and there was a demand for a new fire station.
In view of this, a new fire station was proposed near the industrial estate. The foundation stone of the fire station was installed on January 16, 2019, by Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant.
The work began in full swing but soon it was halted for the reason unknown.
The residents have demanded with the local MLA to look into the matter.
