PORVORIM: Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said that the Department is in process of drafting the new Shack Policy for the State and consultation with stakeholders has already commenced. Khaunte clarified that the ‘Model Shack’ concept proposed by the government is a model to showcase to our traditional shack operators, who can explore setting up their shacks on these lines. “One will be in the North and another in the South. It will display modern amenities in the shacks,” he said.
