margao: The new President of the Tiatr Academy of Goa (TAG) Menino De Bandar has said that he will take up the discussion and attempt to start tiatrs in Goa with at least 50% occupancy of audiences. The Director of Art and Culture has appointed senior Tiatrirst Menino De Bandar has a combined experience of Jomnivele Khell and Tiatr for 46 years.
There was no committee in TAG for at least two years, which invited criticism for the Government.
The new President while speaking to Herald, said that since the COVID-19 pandemic there have been no Tiatrs staged anywhere in Goa. He assured to hold a discussion with the committee after listening to all the members and will make a decision on starting the Tiatrs with at least 50% of the occupancy of audiences.
“We will have to show that Tiatrs are not gone. We will come back soon,” said the optimistic President.
