PONDA: After exactly six months of its inauguration on June 8, the Mardol police station will now get a third PI.
Since then it has had two PIs- Mohan Gaude and Satish Gaude. The latter is now replaced by PI Raghoba Kamat.
From a police outpost, it was upgraded to Mardol police station to reduce the pressure on Ponda Police station. A few days later, three persons were killed in a tragic accident in Banastarim with the people marching to the police station as the men in uniform had botched up the probe. PI Mohan Gaude was shunted following the controversy and was replaced by PI Satish Gaude. The latter was transferred and Mohan Gaude has been handed over the charge.
