We, taxpayers, are paying a heavy price for the shoddy unplanned work of the govt departments and Smart City works. A newly tarred road from Mahalaxmi temple connecting the Atmaram Boarkar road via the Goa Football Association office has been ravaged once again. This shows poor coordination between government departments and Smart City and absolutely poor planning, burning a hole in the taxpayers’ pockets.
Additionally, residents of Panjim and commuters were left in the lurch. This also shows the overkill of Panjim with so-called development. Each agency does not know what the other department is doing in the effort to complete the Smart City and the G20-related works. This is also causing traffic bottlenecks and an unimaginable amount of hardship to people commuting along the Dada Vaidhya road at the Altinho foothills.
