MARGAO: Director of Panchayats on Wednesday commenced the hearing into the case against former Chandor-Cavorim sarpanch Etelvina Antao and has now fixed the next hearing on August 8, at 3 pm.
It may be recalled that one Raymond D’Cruz had filed a case against the then sarpanch Etelvina seeking her disqualification as sarpanch for dereliction of duties in recommending to the Town and Country Planning Department to regularise an illegal structure even though the court had ordered its demolition.
