VASCO: NGO Savera President Tara Kerkar on Saturday demanded a judicial probe into the suicide of lady police constable.
“Currently, the crime Branch has been investigating the suicide case. But I feel that impartial inquiry can be conducted only if the PSI named by the family in the complaint is suspended. Also, since the needle of suspicion is on a policeman, it is suspected that police might not be fair while investigating the case and hence the State government should order for a judicial probe into the suicide case as reason behind victim taking such extreme step needs to be ascertained,” she said.
