PANJIM: Generation Next President Durgadas Kamat condemned the enquiry report by DIG V Renganathan in the Police Tanning School scam. Addressing the media, Kamat claimed that the enquiry was conducted in a biased manner to protect the IPS officer.
Kamat said, “Enquiry officer DIG Renganathan did not find it necessary to uncover the truth about corruption. We demand an enquiry to find out on what ground is IPS officer Atmaram V Deshpande still in Goa since he has been inducted in the IPS cadre in the year 2012 and was transferred to Mizoram.”
Deshpande, Principal of Police Training School, Valpoi, has been accused of carrying out suspicious financial transaction in an electrical wiring work contract in the training school. The principal is accused of ordering electrical works in the training school worth Rs 14 lakh without floating any tender.
