CANACONA: As a part of corporate social responsibility, Kiran’s Camp in association with NGO ‘Goenkar’ cleaned about 30 kms of NH66 roadside stretch from Canacona to Chinchinim of its garbage.
Speaking to Herald, proprietor of Kiran’s Camp John Coutinho, said that this is a part of corporate social responsibility undertaken by them in association with Goenkar. Kiran’s Camp is a leading tourist accommodation provider at world famous beach of Palolem.
“We are celebrating 20 years of our existence in Canacona and as a responsible citizen, we and team Goenkar have contributed our time and energy to clear all types of garbage strewn by commuters between Canacona and Chinchinim,” Coutinho said.
“We have only one planet and we are duty bound to look after and keep this planet which we call our home clean from garbage, so that our coming generation gets a better world,” he said.
In all about 300 bags of garbage collected from this drive which had started since last ten days have been segregated and sent to garbage treatment sites in Canacona and Cacora said Vikas Bhagat, the general secretary of Goenkar.
After this cleanliness drive which is one of the many done by team Goenkar since last few years, multiple people from various walks of lives congratulated and appreciated the members of team Goenkar for their selfless, untiring and noble work.
