PONDA: Gulshani Mohammad Ansari (7) from Bhumikanagar in Usgao drowned after she accidentally fell into a well located near her rented residence, on Thursday evening.
According to Ponda Police, the girl regularly fetches water from the well and on the fateful day, while going down the steps, she accidently fell into the well and drowned.
A passerby noticed the girl falling into the well alerted the locals. It is learnt that the girl might have slipped on the steps and fell into the well. She was rushed to Public Health Centre at Usgao, where she declared brought dead.
