VASCO: ‘Goa First’ President Parshuram Sonurlekar has filed a complaint at the Mormugao Police station on Saturday evening stating that there is a threat to his life, family members and his property from some people for questioning a politician’s involvement in Nu Shi Nalini vessel matter.
In his complaint, Sonurlekar has stated that few days ago some locals spoke to a section of media and warned Sonurlekar for questioning and commenting against a politician for his involvement in the issue of the grounded vessel.
In his complaint, Sonurlekar has also questioned the inactive behaviour of the local police when the mob came to the police station for filing a complaint against one councilor for his alleged involvement in bringing the unmanned Nu Shi Nalini vessel to Mormugao Port.
Sonurlekar has asked that when the section 144 was applicable across the country for the period of November 7 till November 28, 2019, then why police allowed mob to gather at the Mormugao police station with large number. He has also urged the authorities to inquire into this issue and deliver justice.
When contacted, Mormugao Police Inspector Pravin Pawar said that he has been informed by his office staff that such complaint has been received by his police station and he would look into the matter.
