PANJIM: A Nigerian has been arrested for allegedly possessing drugs during a raid in Siolim on Thursday. The raid by Crime Branch sleuths was based on a tipoff about drug peddling in the coastal village. The Nigerian identified as Onyinyechi Eniyinnaya Arungwa (37) was caught red-handed in possession of cocaine and LSD papers worth Rs 5.4 lakh.
The team has seized the narcotics weighing 48.30gms of cocaine and 0.12 gms LSD, found in his scooter for investigation. An officer said that the alleged peddler has been arrested under relevant sections of the NDPS Act and interrogation was underway.
