PANJIM: The Crime Branch of Goa Police on Sunday arrested a Nigerian national for allegedly being in possession of drugs worth Rs 2.50 lakh at Porvorim.
According to police, the accused identified as Ferdinand Okonkwo, 49 was arrested after Crime Branch officials led by Police Inspector Dattaram Raut conducted a narcotics raid at internal road leading towards GCA ground at Porvorim from main road.
The accused was allegedly caught red-handed for being in possession of one transparent polythene packet containing in it white colour crystalline powder substance weighing 18.849 grams suspected to be psychotropic substance MDMA and another transparent polythene packet contains white colour powder substance weighing 9.847 grams suspected to be psychotropic substance cocaine all worth Rs 2.50 lakh approximately.
