PANJIM: Mapusa Police in a
narcotics raid at Duler arrested Nigerian national John Paul Onyebuchi (33) and
seized 6 kg of ganja worth Rs 3.6 lakh from him.
According to Mapusa police
Onyebuchi came to a garden early Mondya morning on a two-wheeler with the ganja
in a travelling bag and was waiting for a client.
Based on information Mapusa
police, under supervision of Police Inspector Tushar Lotlikar, laid a trap and
caught the Nigerian national in possession of the ganja.
Police have attached his
belongings, including some cash, foreign currency, mobile handset, scooter and
the drugs.
Police said that the Nigerian
had arrived in Goa from Hyderabad on Sunday. “We are verifying the source of
the ganja, from where he has picked it,” Lotlikar said. The accused has been
booked under section 20(B) (ii) (B) of NDPS Act.
