Mapusa: In a narcotic bust conducted by a Calangute police team on Tuesday, a Nigerian national identified as Lucky Ekoemeye (40), a resident of Naikawado in Calangute, was caught red-handed with 14 g of MDMA, a psychotropic drug worth Rs 1,40,000 approximately.
The raid was conducted by PSI Kiran Naik and others under the supervision of PI Dattaguru Sawant, SP Shobhit Saxena and DySP Vishwesh Karpe.
The Calangute police registered an offence under the NDPS Act 1985. The accused was earlier arrested by the Anjuna Police and the Crime branch under the Narcotics Act, police sources said.
