PANJIM: Goa police have launched a security drill, which incidentally comes hours after a high alert was issued in Delhi over a possible fidayeen attack on the PM’s residence and Parliament.
Besides regular checks during the day, night patrolling has been intensified with a number of patrolling vans seen around the capital city.
Moreover, nakabandis and vehicle checks have also been strengthened. Sources said this is a fresh security drill by Goa police. This is a new security exercise plan with several officers also on the field late night, even as some of them have already been assigned night patrolling on rotation.
