MARGAO: With ‘Any other Business’ dropped from the agenda for gram sabhas following orders from the Director of Panchayats, the three gram sabhas scheduled tomorrow in Salcete are expected to get over fast as correspondence from villagers to discuss has been received by only two panchayats.
The gram sabha at Sarzora is expected to get over as the only item on agenda is reading and confirming the minutes of the previous gram sabha. Although correspondence from villagers is listed on the agenda, the panchayat did not receive any correspondence and hence nothing else is likely to be discussed.
At Paroda two persons have written to the panchayat on issues they want to discuss at the gram sabha scheduled tomorrow.
Only the Aquem Baixo gram sabha will take some time as besides approving the budget the panchayat has received two letters on issues to be discussed at the gram sabha.
