MARGAO: NCP MLA Churchill Alemao on Sunday said that there has been no benefit to the State by starting tourism.

“I had asked the Government not to open tourism and I still insist. There are several Indians who want to come down to Goa,” Churchill said and claimed that there has been no benefit to the State by starting tourism.

On the confusion between Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco and him, Churchill said, “I will never join the BJP. In fact, Reginaldo’s birthday cake was cut by CM and the Waste Management Minister Michael Lobo hinted that he may become the Deputy Chief Minister. Reginaldo wanted the TCP Ministry, but he did not get. He is an opportunist”. The Benaulim MLA urged the panchayats and representatives to create awareness regarding the precautions against the infection and asked them to distribute the immunity boosting tablets.
