MAPUSA: Six out of nine panchas of Assonora Village Panchayat on Monday filed a no-confidence motion against the acting Sarpanch Sapna Mapari.
Six panchas who have moved the no confidence motion include Shankar Naik, Shailesh Salgaonkar, Chaya Bicholkar, Roshnali Kawlekar, Pravin Bugde and Meghashyam Chodankar.
In a letter submitted to Block Development Officer on Monday, panch members who signed the motion alleged that Mapari failed to take all the panchas into confidence while taking any decision pertaining to the village. Also that Mapari supported illegal construction activities in the village as well as failed to take up development works in the village.
