MARGAO: Sarpanch Judas Quadros of Village panchayat Raia will have to face the no-confidence notice moved against him by six panch members, at a special meeting scheduled on December 12 by the Block Development Officer.
On December 2, a group of six panch members had moved the no-confidence motion against Quadros , citing that he was not taking the members into confidence on the developmental works.
It was an embarrassment to the Sarpanch as one of the panch members from the ruling group joined hands with the opposition, and if he is ousted, Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, stands to lose control over the panchayat .
