QUEPEM: On scrutiny of candidates for Quepem municipal poll, 14 out of 76 nominations were binned being double nominations, leaving 62 in fray. Incidentally none of the candidates got disqualified. However, today till 3 pm they have a chance to withdraw their, as said by Deputy Collectors office.

According to the previous reservation arrangement, three councilors—former Dayesh Naik, Chetan Haldankar and Suchita Shirwaikar—were elected unopposed in respective wards. But after the alteration in ward reservation, now they are subjected to heat of poll fray.
